10:30-12:30 | 13:30-15:30 | 16:00-18:00

Brian Gerrard Theatre, Birkenhead College

In 2024, a community of passionate young musicians came together with one shared belief that music has the power to support and give strength to those facing life’s hardest battles.

Held at the Brian Gerrard Theatre, Birkenhead College, the 2024 charity concert was not just a performance, but also a heartfelt act of generosity. Through months of dedication, rehearsals, and collective effort, these students transformed their talent into compassion, standing in solidarity with individuals and families affected by cancer.

As a result of this inspiring evening, the concert successfully raised about $15,000 NZD. 100% of the profit, $10,055, were donated to the Cancer Society, providing real and meaningful support to those in need.

Q Theatre in Auckland

In 2025, Keys for Cure Charitable Trust proudly presented a landmark charity concert in support of Starship Children’s Hospital, bringing together music and community.

Held at the Q Theatre in Auckland on 19th October 2026, the concert was made possible by the dedication and generosity of an extraordinary community. More than 120 young performers donated their time and talent to contribute to the cause.

The event welcomed an audience of over 500 attendees, whose presence and support made it a resounding success.

Through this collective effort, the 2025 Starship Charity Concert successfully raised over NZD 20,000, with 100% of all remaining profits donated to the Starship Foundation. These funds directly support children’s healthcare, wellbeing initiatives, and family support programs, creating a lasting impact beyond the stage.

Building on this momentum, in July 2026, Keys for Cure Charitable Trust formally established its Board of Trustees and management team, strengthening its governance and operational foundations. The Trust was officially registered with Charities Services New Zealand and is now subject to government oversight and regulatory requirements, ensuring transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of integrity as it continues to grow.

In 2026, Keys for Cure Charitable Trust is launching a new and deeply meaningful initiative Keys for Cure Children’s Mental Health Support Salon. We invite you to come together through a special fundraising concert dedicated to children’s mental wellbeing.

Across our communities, more children are carrying invisible burdens. Academic pressure, social anxiety, uncertainty about the future, and emotional distress are affecting young minds earlier than ever before. Many children and families are quietly struggling, unsure where to turn for help.

Funds raised from the 2026 concert will directly support the establishment of the Children’s Mental Health Support Salon, a safe, caring, and professional space designed to support children experiencing stress, confusion, anxiety, or depression.

The Salon will provide:

  • Guided emotional support and psychological wellbeing sessions
  • Safe spaces for children to express feelings and be heard
  • Practical tools for families to better support their children

Program Format:

  • 10 sessions per school term
  • Up to 20 children per session
  • An estimated 800 children and families supported each year
  • Each session represents a moment of understanding and reassurance, the first step - towards a better mental health.

Once again, our young musicians are stepping forward, donating their time and talent to this cause.
